Mahabharat: How will the Pandavas seek revenge from Ashwatthama?

In the last episode, we saw Ashwatthama (Ankit Mohan) fulfilling Duryodhan’s (Arpit Ranka) last wishes. He was seen killing all the five sons of the Pandavas and informing Duryodhan at his funeral that he had completed the dead’s last wishes, hence, he can leave the world in peace after all. Draupadi (Pooja Sharma), on the other hand, was distraught on seeing her children killed and demanded to be burnt alive as she had lost her will to live. The episode ended with Ashwatthama facing the Pandavas in their wrathful avatar.
In the upcoming episode, we will see Bheem (Saurav Gurjar) and Nakul (Vin Rana) hurting Ashwatthama. Where Bheem will hold the latter by the neck, Nakul will be seen stabbing him. This, however, will not kill Ashwatthama who will slowly pull the sword out of his chest, calling the Pandavas fools in believing that they could succeed in killing him. Further, Arjun (Shaheer Sheikh) and Ahswatthama will pit their Brahmastras against each other when Ashwatthama’s Brahmastra will hit Uttara, just as the Pandavas had feared.

Digangana Suryavanshi aka Veera: Farnaz Shetty and I don’t have anything in common to talk about

A few days ago, the media reported that Digangana Suryavanshi, who plays Veera in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera, is throwing tantrums on the sets of the Star Plus show. It was reported that the actor threw a fit when she was asked to share her hair stylist with Farnaz Shetty (Gunjan). The stories doing media rounds also claimed that the channel and the production house has warned Digangana to be more dignified or else they would replace her. Considering, the actor faced similar problems on the sets of her previous show Qubool Hai, everyone believed these stories.
We caught up with Digangana to learn about her side of the story. “I don’t know why people are cooking up such stories about me. There is nothing happening on the sets of the show, everything is just fine,” said the actor.

So how exactly is your equation with Farnaz- your onscreen bhabhi? She replied, “On the sets, I am extremely good friends with everybody. As far as Farnaz is concerned, we are two very different people. We barely have any scenes together. However, whenever we shoot together, we are great with each other. Nowadays, the shoots are coordinated only between couples, so I barely have a scene with Farnaz. Plus, Farnaz is quite older than me and is from a very different zone of life. We don’t have anything in common to talk about. When the hairstyle story came out, both Farnaz and I were laughing over it – it was very bizarre.”

A few days back, a certain section of the media reported that the channel has given Digangana warnings that if her behaviour on the sets does not change, she would be replaced. “I called up the channel and the production house when this story came out. They said, ‘don’t think about it too much. Just hear it from one ear and let it out from the other. These rumours about me throwing temper tantrums on the set are so unlike me. Shivin (Narang), Vishal (Vashishtha), Shaguftaji and I are all such great friends on the set, so I don’t get where these rumours spiral from. The production house has said they are 100% behind me ‘coz these stories are totally baseless,” added the actor.

Singham Returns Review: Ajay Devgn’s earnest performance saves Rohit Shetty’s film!

What’s it about: The story revolves around Ajay Devgn aka Bajirao Singham, a nonsense cop in Mumbai police, who faces an ordeal when his constable is found dead with an ambulance filled with crores of money. Meanwhile his mentor Guruji, played by Anupam Kher, a party leader, decides to back the candidature of young deserving candidates. Irked by this decision from Guruji, alliance party leader Zakir Hussain and evil godman Amol Gupte hatch a plot to assassinate Anupam Kher. Will Singham find the murders of the constable and foil the plan of the baddies to kill Guruji?

What’s good: Director Rohit Shetty is a master of his craft, when it comes to the technicalities of the film. The fight sequences are brilliantly executed and are exhilarating to watch. The camera work in the movie spot on. Ajay Devgn as a strict police officer shines, emoting with his eyes and packing a punch with his deadly dialogues and high octane stunts. Infact, it is Devgn’s earnest performance which makes the film worth watching. It is refreshing to see Dayanand Shetty play a cop in the film other than his popular TV series CID. Ironically, his name in the film is also Daya and the scene where he breaks the door gets massive applause from the audience.  Since the film is set in Maharashtra, Rohit Shetty has used Marathi dialogues generously, adding to the authenticity of the film. There a few scenes which stand out in the film like the Singham’s intro scene or the one where our hero is confronted and shamed by a woman for beating his son.

What’s bad: Though the film has two villains in the form of Amol Gupte and Zakir Hussain, but the film’s main villain is its weak script which has nothing new to offer. Kareena Kapoor tries hard to impress in a poorly etched role as Singham’s fiance. The pretty lady has nothing much to do and even the absence of her character would not have made any difference to the plot. The romance between Ajay and Bebo is thanda and the jokes are far from being funny. Amol Gupte has got the right body language to play a con man disguised as godman, but it is his over enunciation of  every word which annoys us a little. The film has some serious logical lapses and the baddies aren’t menacing enough to give Singham a tough competition.

What to do: While Singham Returns is a must watch for every Rohit Shetty fan as the director dishes out a typical masala film, the ones who look for emotional connection with films  may stay away from this Independence Day release. Watch it if you have nothing else to do this weekend.

Salman Khan gets a royal treatment for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo!

Salman Khan is going for a massive image make over. After his cool look in Kick, the actor will be seen wearing heavy ornaments and a traditional Indian attire in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The film that is being shot as of now has Salman in a double role playing a bad prince and a good prince. As part of the role he’s required to wear a lot of ethnic wear that also includes jewellery and Indian attire.
This will be a total image make over for him and his fans are going to in for a major shock when they see his first look from the film.

Exclusive: Sonam Kapoor travels from Karjat to Mumbai for Khoobsurat promotions

Sonam Kapoor is going all out to promote her film Khoobsurat. The actress who is also shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is shuttling between ND Studios in Karjat and Mumbai.
The reason being that Sonam has to manage her time schedule between both the films. Sonam is shooting for a song with Salman for Prem Ratan and after that she wraps her shoot and comes to Mumbai to promote Khoobsurat.
That’s quite a bit of multitasking we say!

Katrina Kaif curious about Deepika Padukone’s Happy New Year?

Katrina Kaif was heard asking her friends about Happy New Year. The actress who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan and director Farah Khan was heard getting inquisitive about their film Happy New Year.
Interestingly the film also has her rival Deepika Padukone in the lead role. It seems that Kat was curious to know about the buzz surrounding the film.
We think it is healthy to have such competition.
